Simcyp to contribute to PKUK meeting

The annual Pharmacokinetics UK (PKUK) meeting will be taking place this week at The Bristol Hotel, Bristol. The meeting provides an opportunity for academic, regulatory and pharmaceutical industry representatives to discuss issues relating to PKPD. The meeting will run from Wednesday 3rd November to Friday 5th November.
Professor Amin Rostami (Director of Scientific Research and Development, Simcyp Limited) will co-chair the first session on ‘PKPD Bridging Strategies for Emerging Markets’ which will begin the meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Following this, there will be an evening poster session. Dr Gaohua Lu (Senior Scientist, Simcyp Limited) will be contributing to the meeting with a poster entitled ‘A Time-varying Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Model of Caffeine during Pregnancy’. Dr Steve Toon (Executive Director, Simcyp Limited) will co-chair the session 'PKPD Modelling and Simulation; it’s Impact on the Efficiency of the Drug Development Process’ taking place on Thursday morning.
A highlight of the meeting is the annual Peter Coates lecture which will take place on Thursday evening. Professor Geoff Tucker (Chairman, Simcyp Limited) has been invited to present the lecture this year speaking on ‘The Virtual Patient: PBPK Applications in Drug Development’. Professor Tucker will also be co-chairing the open session.
