Simcyp Rat used in Amgen study focusing on prediction of Vss
Date: 05 Nov 2009
A new paper published in the journal Drug Metabolism and Disposition investigates the feasibility of using in vitro data in the prediction of volume of distribution at steady-state (Vss). The study was undertaken by Loren M. Berry and colleagues at Amgen.
The authors used in vitro non-specific tissue binding measurements and various tissue composition equations to quantitatively predict Vss for a wide range of drugs in rats. The Simcyp Rat Simulator was used in the study.
The article is entitled ‘Prediction of Vss from in vitro tissue binding studies.’ Please follow the link to PubMed for the abstract and full text options.
