Simcyp Principal Scientist contributes to COST B25 Action Meeting

Simcyp News RSS

Date: 24 Mar 2009

Dr Trevor Johnson, Principal Scientist at Simcyp Limited, will this week attend an Action Meeting of the European COST B25 project. Dr Johnson will be discussing the strengths and challenges of physiologically-based prediction of pharmacokinetics in children.

COST is the European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research. The objective of action B25, ‘Physiologically based pharmaco-toxicokinetics and dynamics', is to improve the utility and interpretation of scientific information obtained either during pharmaceutical product development or, subsequently, through observations in humans, to predict the safe and effective use of drugs and other chemicals. The initiative aims to promote improved interactions and the transfer of knowledge between scientists from academia, industry and governmental sectors and identify knowledge gaps in the field.

The meeting will be held in Brussels on 26th March 2009.
