Date: 09 Jan 2009
Emeritus Professor Geoff Tucker and Dr Sibylle Neuhoff will both be presenting at the upcoming 4th LogP Symposium. The conference runs from 8th – 11th February 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland.
The event will focus on in vitro and in silico techniques to predict and optimise the pharmacokinetic behaviour of drug candidates. Approximately 300 delegates, representing the pharmaceutical industry, academia and companies committed to in vitro and in silico ADMET prediction, are expected to attend.
Professor Tucker, Chairman of Simcyp Limited, has been invited to open the symposium with a lecture entitled, ‘Predicting pharmacokinetics from the bottom up.’
Dr Neuhoff will contribute to the discussion on transporters on day two of the main conference with her talk entitled, ‘The effect of P-glycoprotein (MDR1/ABCB1) on human gut wall absorption depends on physicochemical characteristics of the drug and dosage formulation: Simulation of "fa" for digoxin, quinidine and talinolol.’
