Simcyp SAB member receives Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Service Award
Date: 12 Feb 2009
Professor Carl Peck, a member of Simcyp's Scientific Advisory Board, has been selected to receive the 2009 Henry W. Elliot Service Award from the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT). The accolade is in recognition of Professor Peck’s long and distinguished record of leadership within the society.
The annual Henry W. Elliott Award was established in 1979 and is presented to an ASCPT member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the organisation. Professor Peck will accept the award at the ASCPT Annual Meeting in March.
Professor Peck is the founding Director of the Center for Drug Development Science at UCSF, a former Director of the US FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), and a former Assistant Surgeon General of the United States.
He has served on the Simcyp Scientific Advisory Board since March 2008.
