Prof. Rostami appointed to Chair of Systems Pharmacology at University of Manchester

Simcyp congratulates Amin Rostami-Hodjegan, Director of Scientific Research and Development, on his appointment as Professor of Systems Pharmacology at the University of Manchester, UK. His academic research team will now be based within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Manchester.
Professor Brian Houston, Director of the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research and Head of DMPK Research, sees Professor Rostami’s appointment as pivotal to the future of the Manchester group in strengthening existing DMPK activities and promoting future links between the University and Simcyp.
Professor Rostami, a founder of Simcyp Limited, will continue in his role as Director of Scientific Research and Development within the company.
Professor Rostami previously held a Chair at the University of Sheffield and will maintain an honorary affiliation with the institution for several more years.
The new appointment came into effect on 7th December 2009.
