Simcyp Chairman participating in Pharmacogenetics debate at European Science Foundation Conference
Date: 26 Jun 2008
Professor Geoff Tucker, Chairman of Simcyp, has been invited to participate in a debate at the European Science Foundation (ESF) Research Conference in Biomedicine. The meeting is entitled ‘Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics: Adverse Drug Reactions.’
Professor Tucker will be presenting the case in support of the proposition – ‘Pharmacogenetic testing will have a minor role in drug treatment.’ He will face opposition from Michel Eichelbaum, from the Dr Margarete Fischer-Bosch-Institut für Klinische Pharmakologie (IKP) in Stuttgart, who is against the proposition.
The meeting runs from 27th June until 2nd July at the Hotel Eden Roc, Saint Feliu de Guixols, Spain. For a link to the conference agenda please click here.
