Date: 28 Apr 2008

Dr David Turner, a Senior Scientist in the Modelling and Simulation group at Simcyp Limited, will be presenting at the  International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) Improving Solubility 2008 Conference. The event runs from 24-25th June at the Thistle Marble Arch Hotel, London, UK.

Dr Turner’s presentation is entitled, ‘Predicting drug oral bioavailability and its inter-individual variability from routinely generated in vitro data.’ His discussion will include the following:

  • Incorporation of solubility, dissolution and modified/controlled release profiles
  • Consideration of dissolution, permeability (efflux transport), and gut wall metabolism
  • Sources and handling of inter-individual variability in bioavailablilty
  • Modelling and simulation as a platform to integrate multiple sources of information

A Simcyp workshop, ‘Introduction to IVIVE for the prediction of the oral bioavailability of drugs from in vitro data’  will precede the event. This one day course will be held on 23rd June 2008. For more details please follow the link to our workshops page.

The IQPC is hosting the conference with the aim of enhancing solubility to maximise R&D productivity and minimise cost. Please click here for a link to the full conference agenda.
