Xenobiotica special issue dedicated to Simcyp-sponsored Seminars
Date: 09 Nov 2007
Dr Amin Rostami-Hodjegan, Director of Research and Development at Simcyp, acted as guest editor of the Xenobiotica special issue, entitled, “Modelling and simulation (M&S) approaches to in vitro-in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) of ADME properties in drug development.” The journal brings together papers which were originally contributions to four Simcyp-sponsored Seminars.
The focus of the journal edition is not only on the models needed for M&S of IVIVE, but also on the efforts to gain a better understanding of the system and obtain all the relevant biological values necessary to piece together the IVIVE jigsaw. This special issue, covering broad aspects of M&S, highlights the relevance of the seminars to scientists working within the fields of drug discovery and clinical development.
The original seminars were held in Philadelphia, PA, USA (2006), Basel, Switzerland (2006), Baltimore, MD, USA (2007) and Prague, Czech Republic (2007). Further Simcyp Seminars are scheduled for 2008 in Arosa, Boston and San Francisco.
Xenobiotica is linked to the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (ISSX). Please click here for a link to the publication.
