The Simcyp Team
Simcyp has a strong team of specialists with extensive experience in drug metabolism, drug absorption, QSAR, PK-PD modelling, paediatric pharmacology, pharmacogenetics and epidemiology. Software development at Simcyp is co-ordinated and carried out in-house by a dedicated, expert software team.
The Simcyp Science Team is led by the co-founders of the company, Professor Geoff Tucker (Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Head of the Academic Unit of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Sheffield, and Chairman of Simcyp Limited) and Professor Amin Rostami-Hodjegan (Professor of Systems Pharmacology at the University of Sheffield, and Director of Scientific Research & Development at Simcyp Limited). Aspects of business development are managed by Mr John Evans (Managing Director) and Dr Steve Toon (Executive Director).
As a result of the pioneering work of Simcyp in predicting population variability in whole body pharmacokinetics and drug-drug interactions, Professor Geoff Tucker and Professor Amin Rostami-Hodjegan were jointly awarded the New Safer Medicines Faster Award by the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) in 2004.
As Simcyp is a forward-moving, expanding company we are always looking for talented individuals to further strengthen our team. For more details on how you can contribute to our success by being a part of our team .
